We use a third party biller, Birth Professional Billing, that specializes in out-of-hospital midwifery billing.

If you would like to utilize your insurance you are still required to pay the “Cash Pay” rate in full. Insurance is billed for reimbursement purposes only.

Because we are not in-network the insurance company reimburses based on their usual and customary rates or allowable amount. If the rates are too low you can appeal to your insurance company.

You are still responsible for your deductible and co-insurance. This is why we highly recommend trying to get a gap exception if possible.
